Anna joined the Abingworth's Menlo Park office in January 2026 and will work with our transatlantic team to identify new investment opportunities and support existing investments.
Anna was previously a Venture Associate with Portal Innovations, where she focused on investing in and supporting early-stage biotechnology companies. In this role, she worked across deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio support, with a particular emphasis on technologies emerging from academic research. Before Portal, Anna was a doctoral researcher at the University of Chicago, where she explored novel approaches to drug delivery across oncology and autoimmune disease. During her training, she gained additional venture experience as an intern with ARCH Venture Partners.
Anna holds a PhD in Molecular Engineering from the University of Chicago and a BS in Chemistry from Duke University.
