Laura joined Abingworth in April 2022, bringing over 14 years of clinical research experience spanning operations and alliance management, commercial strategy, and business operations. She works with the transatlantic investment team to source and evaluate new clinical co-development (CCD) investment opportunities and is responsible for building the alliances and strategic partnerships with sponsor companies and clinical development vendors.
Prior to joining Abingworth, Laura was the Head of Partnership Excellence at PPD, responsible for leading a team that established best-in-class partnership processes and systems, ensuring effective governance and customer satisfaction. Prior to joining PPD, Laura served as Chief of Staff at Worldwide Clinical Trials leading the implementation of strategic corporate initiatives. Earlier in her career, Laura served as the Portfolio and Operations Management Head of a large, global business unit at INC Research (now Syneos Health). Laura is also a part-time faculty member within the University of North Carolina at Wilmington School of Nursing and Clinical Research Program.
Laura earned her B.S. in Biology from Meredith College, B.S. in Clinical Research from Campbell University, and M.S. in Clinical Research and Product Development from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
